Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
"Company" refers to Ashley Couriers.
"Client" refers to the individual or business utilising the services of Ashley Couriers.
"Goods" refers to the items to be transported by Ashley Couriers.
"Services" refers to the courier and delivery services provided by Ashley Couriers.
2. Service Coverage
Ashley Couriers operates exclusively within Mainland UK.
Deliveries outside this area are not available.
3. Booking and Payment
All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email or through our online booking system.
Payment terms are as agreed at the time of booking. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in service suspension.
Any changes to the agreed booking must be communicated to Ashley Couriers in advance and may incur additional charges.
4. Delivery Conditions
Packaging: The Client is responsible for ensuring Goods are properly packaged and labeled. Ashley Couriers accepts no liability for damage due to inadequate packaging.
Acceptance of Goods: Ashley Couriers reserves the right to refuse transportation of prohibited or hazardous items.
Delivery Times: While Ashley Couriers will endeavor to meet agreed delivery times, delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, traffic) are not the responsibility of the Company.
Unsuccessful Delivery: If a delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information or recipient unavailability, the Client will be notified and may incur additional charges for redelivery.
5. Liability and Insurance
Ashley Couriers' liability for loss or damage to Goods is limited to £50 per consignment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Ashley Couriers provides Goods In Transit insurance up to the value of £25,000.
Clients are encouraged to arrange additional insurance if required.
Ashley Couriers is not liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses.
Damage to fragile or perishable items unless explicitly agreed.
Delays caused by events beyond our control.
6. Confidentiality and Discretion
Ashley Couriers provides a discreet service with unmarked vehicles.
All Client information and details regarding the Goods will be treated as confidential.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled collection time to avoid cancellation fees.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days.
8. Prohibited Items
Ashley Couriers does not transport:
Hazardous or illegal substances.
Items requiring specialised transport or storage not agreed upon in advance.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Amendments
Ashley Couriers reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
